Mornington Breakers are excited to kick off our preparation for the 2027 VJBL Season with our New Player Tryouts!
New Player Tryouts are for Boys who have NOT previously played VJBL and are eligible for Under 12s (Born 2016/2017) or Under 14s (Born 2014/2015). All NEW Girls, Under 16 Boys, and Under 18 Boys register directly for Phase 1 of Breakers Tryouts.
Players born in 2018 are asked to submit an Expression of Interest. Our Basketball Development Manager, Nathan Cumberland, will contact families directly with information about suitable opportunities within the Mornington Breakers Pathway.
Attending New Player Tryouts does not guarantee progression to Phase 1 of the Breakers Tryouts. Advancement to this phase is by invitation only, with all selections made at the club’s discretion.
Players from any association are welcome to attend tryouts. However, if selected, they must be registered in our domestic competition for the upcoming Summer season.
New Player Tryouts will be held on;
Under 12 Boys – Friday September 4th – 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Under 14 Boys – Friday September 11th – 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
